Lucky me, I am living my happily-ever-after in Dallas, Texas with my high school sweetheart and best friend who happens to be my husband. No wonder I believe in happy endings. We’ve traveled extensively in the British Isles, driving through wee villages in Wales, down scary, narrow roads in Scotland, along glorious coastal roads in Ireland and through the heart of London.
As for a bio– Do I have to stick to the facts? Because honestly, the facts are dead boring. Fifth-generation Texan, never lived outside Dallas County, crazed Dallas Cowboys fan, obsessive reader, dreamer, lazy cow.
This official “short form bio” goes like this:
Award-winning screenwriter and best selling novelist Patricia Burroughs loves dogs, books, movies, and football. A lifelong Anglophile, she treasures her frequent travels in the British Isles researching The Fury Triad, the epic fantasy that has taken over her life and heart. She and her high school sweetheart husband are living happily ever after in their hometown of Dallas, Texas.
Added details include six published novels, a couple of award-winning screenplays leading to paying but uncredited work. The only writer in the history of the competition to be a Finalist in the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting twice–with two different scripts. Second time was a charm; the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences awarded me a $30,000 Fellowship for my script adaptation of my first published novel.
If you want to follow me around the internet, I can be found at the following places, in order of how often I use them: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr. As for book-related things, I use Goodreads constantly to log my reading and check out reviews, but also make review copies of my new books available through LibraryThing.
I’m tremendously proud to be a member of Book View Café, a professional author-run publisher, and to be published by Story Spring Publishing, a hybrid publisher with amazing editorial staff and author benefits.
For screenplays, represented by Wayne Alexander
